Rome With Kids Shore Excursions

Rome With Kids Shore Excursions

Rome with kids is a dream…exploring underground excavations, searching for gladiators and secret passageways….

Don’t miss the creepy skeletons of the Cappuccini friars Church, only for those who have enough stomach!
One of Rome's newest and most fascinating indoor activities is the so called Time Elevator. On board this time machine, you and your children will learn about Rome's history thanks to a virtual reality, multi-sensorial experience packed with special effects, including a motion base platform.
Explora is the first Italian museum expressly created for children aged 0-12. The area resembles a small town and is divided into different sectors: society, environment and communication.
Children learn through hands-on, personal experience about these four different themes Have a look inside the Museum of the Walls, which houses the best-preserved gate of the city’s ancient Aurelian Wall, Emperor Aurelian’s defensive wall built from 270 AD around all seven hills.
Get to St. Angel’s castle, the mausoleum began by Hadrian in 128 and transformed into a papal fortress for centuries.
Climbing St Peter’s Dome is an unforgettable experience. From ground level to the top it’s a challenging 537 steps! Enjoy a walk up to the Janiculum, a lovely hill from where it’s possible to get a wide-angle vista of Rome. Each day a little before noon, Italian soldiers wheel out a howitzer and fire a blank shot over Rome to mark the mezzogiorno (noon). Older kids can stand on the terrace directly behind the cannon for fullest, hair-blowing effect!!
