This tour has been especially designed for those only spending one day in Rome or who want to maximise their stay in the eternal city with limited time at their disposal.

Save money for the transfer from Civitavechia pier to Rome: a public shuttle bus service will take you in a few minutes from the port to Civitavecchia station where you will take a train to Rome.

The journey takes about 75 minutes. Your driver will meet you directly at Rome Vatican station for a fantastic 6 hour tour that includes the Colosseum (with prepaid entrance for the visit inside), Piazza Venezia, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Piazza del Popolo the Spanish Steps, the Fountain of  Trevi, (Vatican museum. upon request.)

The tour focuses on the major aspects of Ancient Rome and Renaissance Rome, and can be completely customised. In the afternoon the driver will return you to the Vatican train station (Roma San Pietro) to catch the train back to Civitavecchia.

Directions and tips to reach Civitavecchia railway station:

Keep on the pedestrian walk way; walk past la Bottega della Ceramica Pottery and Craft shop; on your left hand side you will see Forte Michelangelo; through the security side gate; walk along Viale Garibaldi for approx 8-10 minutes; the train station is across the road, on the left hand side. You can either buy your train ticket using one of the machines, or from the bar. Get off at Rome Vatican Station .
Remember: BIN means platform!
Stamp your ticket using one of the yellow machines located on the platform before boarding the train.
Travel time: 45 to 80 minutes depending on day and time of travel. In the event of a train strike or when required, your driver will take you back to the ship directly by car. LRT cannot be held liable for any trains delays.
