“Angelo was a wonderful guide in Rome!!!!!”

PegKent La Canada Flintridge, California | 05/01/2013

Angelo picked our family up at our ship, and off we went for an exciting day in Rome. We were able to see so much in one day. We could have never covered the city without him! His knowledge of the city and it's history was so informing. We were able to see so much, and we were back to our ship in plenty of time. Our family felt that Angelo was worth the money, and we would definitely use him again.

“Great Day in Rome!!”

Our friends and my family spend 3 days in Rome pre cruise last June 2009. We had a day tour with Angelo Vari. He was very professionally and a lot of fun. He made us feel at ease right away. Our tour was highlights of the sights in Rome and a stop at the Coliseum for a tour, we walked thru the Coliseum on our own. He dropped us off and waited for us. He then drove us to the Catacombs at the Appian Way. After the tour at the Catacombs he took us to a local Restaurant and we had a great Lunch. We made a stop at the summer house of the Pope for a great view of the country side, we also visited a small town named Nami, for a sample of liquor made from Strawberries, very delicious. We also choose Angelo to take us to our Ship for the Cruise and arranged with him to pick us up when we returned from the Cruise. I had requested that he meet us at 6:00AM at the dock and he was waiting for us when we arrived. We stopped for a Cappuccino and a Croissant and still made our early flight which left at 9:20AM. His large Mercedes van was spacious and comfortable for all 7 Person and our luggage. I would consider him again on our next visit to Rome or anywhere in Italy; he is knowledgeable and knows some of the out of the way places to visit. He is dependable and very professional.

We went to Rome during our honeymoon and used Angelo Vari as our guide for a day. He was fantastic and as both my husband and I had already been to Rome once before, he was very considerate in determining how much time we needed to spend at all the various sites. He showed us some new places outside of Rome- like the Pope's summer residence that were amazing. All in he is a fantastic guide and we highly recommend him!

“We LOVE Angelo Vari!”

we spent three days in Rome with Angelo.......and he was such a blessing in our trying to see as much of Rome as possible before our cruise. he knows all the back roads and alley ways in Rome and practically deposited us at the front door of St. Peter's. He took us to a "non-touristy" restaurant where he actually cooked some of the meal himself. he is charming and well versed in Italian history. one day we went to a hill town and another afternoon drove out the Appian way for a delicious lunch. we would love to spend more time with him.....ANGELO IS THE BEST!!!

“Phenomenal Tours!”

We were a family of 6, ranging from 28-82. We arranged with Lorenzo for pre & post cruise tours In Rome with ship transfer & tours of the Amalfi Coast & Pompeii. Every tour was exactly what we wanted. Lorenzo & Luca were superb in Rome on the precruise tour of the monuments & the Jewish ghetto. Lorenzo even guided us through the rain & held onto my elderly mother assisting her in navigating the slippery rain soaked stairs. Our post cruise transfer & tour with Angelo was also great. He was also very personable & knowledgeable. Lorenzo arranged for us to have a private guide, Bennedetto, with prebooked tickets to the Vatican & Sistine & we enjoyed that as well.
My mother was concerned about the Pompeii trip as Pompeii can be rough for walking. When I expressed our concerns to Lorenzo he informed the guide, Nicola of this. Nicola allayed her fears by taking us through Pompeii without the steepest inclines & stairs. He navigated around the hardest parts for her to ambulate. Pompeii was fascinating & he was extremely interesting!
Our driver & guide was Salvatore. Salvatore was born & raised in Positano so his tour of the Amalfi Coast was even more informative. He was very nice & didn't hurry us anywhere. He took us to a wonderful restaurant (not touristy) that he & his family even frequent & we could order off the menu, not like the tourist ones where they had a prearranged menu. The view was amazing & the food was excellent.
We would like to thank all the wonderful people associated with our tours, Salvatore, Luca, Angelo, Nicola & Bennedetto - you made our trip to Italy even more special. A million thanks to Lorenzo as he made the trip a memorable experience - from all my (annoying) emails to setup the tours, to the tours themselves - Lorenzo was phenomenal!!! I can't imagine a better experience. When we return to Italy we will definitely use Lorenzo Guerrieri. He is Italy's Best!!

“A Day in Paradise”

Look no further!! Angelo, Lorenzo, and the rest of the staff at Limousine Rome Tour will provide you with the experience of a lifetime!! We were recently in Rome for a conference and had one day to explore. Since we had been to Rome before, we wanted to explore one of the neighboring regions. Our excellent service began before we left Canada, where Lorenzo and Angelo responded quickly to our e-mail inquiries, offered suggestions on what to do, and helped create an itinerary which far surpassed our expectations.

We were greeted promptly at 7:00 at our hotel by Angelo, who has a smile, warmth, and professional demeanor that made us feel like he was our Italian cousin living in Rome. He was very thoughtful and gentlemanly to look at my shoes (to make sure they were comfortable) and to see if I wanted to get a jacket prior to leaving. After departing in a luxury Mercedes van, we stopped for a quick cappuccino and pastry, and headed south to the Amalfi region.

Angelo was cognizant that we were still half asleep and and gave us our privacy to relax and rest while periodically regaling us great historical perspectives of the area. We had a lovely 2.5 hour drive south to the Tramonti region where our tour began by meeting up with "Dottore", a kind, interesting, and multi-talented gentleman who is veterinarian and owner of a winery, Azienda Agricola Tenuta San Francesco. He told us about the history of the region and took us to two local cheese makers (of mozzarella and provolone). Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and generous, inviting us to taste their freshly made cheese- the best I have ever had! He then took us to a beautiful church built into the side of a mountain, and to visit a friend selling old-fashioned, lemon granita (Italian ice) - delicious!

We then arrived at Tenuta San Francesco (https://www.vinitenutasanfrancesco.it/) where he gave a us a magical private tour of the vineyards, sampling grapes along the way. We were then introduced to Dottore's family and welcomed into his home. His beautiful daughter gave us a tour of the winery and lovely wife prepared a delicious, multi-course lunch which we enjoyed while we sampled the various wines. The wines were among the best we have ever had and we ordered some to be shipped home. We were sad to leave as they really made us feel like part of the family (they even shared some recipes).

Our day continued with a beautiful drive along the Amalfi Coast and stop for shopping, a walk along the beach, and gelato in Positano. I must also say (from experience) that, driving in Italy can be a bit scary, and Angelo is an incredibly skilled driver who made us feel completely at ease (despite the curvy, narrow mountain roads, tour buses, and pedestrians).

Angelo (and Limousine Rome Tour) gave us an experience of a life time where we did not feel like "tourists" but were treated like "family", welcomed into the homes and daily lives of many incredible people.

We look forward to returning to Italy and will always rely on Angelo (and Limousine Rome Tour) for a wonderful adventure.

Thank you, Angelo!! I miss you, already! Maria
